This dedicated fund provides financial
assistance for Fernandina Beach police
officers and their immediate families
that find themselves in financial
difficulty as a result of an unfortunate
accident or incident, while on official
duty or acting in an official capacity
off duty.

Founded in 2004, this program
now serves more than 150
Fernandina Beach children each
year. Kids shop with police
officers at the Amelia Island
Walmart store during the holiday
season. Participants are selected
by Fernandina Beach school
guidance counselors based on
need.

Community volunteers work with the Fernandina Beach Police Department to provide support and logistics for our many wonderful community events. This allows active officers to focus on protecting and serving our community in other capacities. During the school year, PAC also assists with daily school traffic
control during drop-off and pickup.

Police officers raise scholarship funds for high school seniors.

Officers promote safety and give treats out during Halloween Events on Centre Street.

Programs and funding priorities may include the following areas:

Modern law enforcement requires specialized equipment and rapidly evolving technology.
Foundation support may help the Police Department obtain tools that enhance officer safety, improve communication, support investigations, and strengthen emergency response.

Specialized training helps officers stay prepared for changing laws, technologies, emergency situations, and community needs.
Foundation funding may support advanced courses, certifications, conferences, leadership development, and training opportunities that extend beyond standard departmental requirements.

The physical and emotional well-being of law-enforcement personnel is essential to a strong and effective Police Department.
The Foundation may support wellness initiatives, peer-support resources, family programs, officer recognition, morale-building activities, and other efforts that care for the people behind the badge.

Positive relationships between officers and residents help build trust and strengthen public safety.
The Foundation may support educational events, neighborhood outreach, crime-prevention programs, citizen engagement, safety demonstrations, and activities that bring officers and community members together.

Positive interactions with law enforcement can have a lasting impact on young people.
Foundation-supported initiatives may include youth academies, school programs, mentoring opportunities, safety education, scholarships, athletic programs, and other activities that encourage leadership and responsible decision-making.

The Foundation helps celebrate exceptional service, important milestones, and the commitment demonstrated by the officers and staff of the Fernandina Beach Police Department.
